Opportunities for Japanese Companies with the ADB

Opportunities for Japanese Companies with the Asian Development Bank

ASEAN-Japan Centre, Tokyo, November 2019

On November 7, DFI's Managing Director, Emilio Bunge spoke to over 40 companies in Tokyo on "Opportunities for Japanese companies with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) – Global Best Practices" in an event organized by the ASEAN Promotion Centre on Trade, Investment and Tourism (ASEAN-Japan Centre).  Emilio's presentation on ADB's investment portfolio and successful models of IFI engagements was met with keen interest from the companies eager to collaborate with the ADB in financing, procurement and partnerships.

The session was followed by Mr. Hiroki Kasahara, Senior Financing Partnerships Specialist at the ADB, who discussed ways the private sector can partner with the ADB's trust funds through technical assistance and capacity building.  A multi-sector trade delegation to ADB’s Headquarters in Manila might be co-organized in the future based on industry’s interest.

The ASEAN-Japan Centre promotes exports from the ASEAN member states to Japan through seminars, workshops, policy analysis, among others.
